Month-Long Challenge
FINANCE CHALLENGE
$1,000 In One Month Challenge
May 4th to June 4th
This is a 31-day challenge to help you change your mindset on money and, as a result, save more. The idea is that the small changes can make a big impact, and the greatest part – you won’t even notice it.
Why You Should Participate
If you’re able to save $1,000 a month – simply by making better choices every day – that’s two fully-funded IRAs a year, a downpayment on a large purchase, a nice vacation, a significant dent in your debt, or a good investment that can grow into more! Think about how this can change your life and get started – today.
How the Challenge Works
Every day you receive an email with a new tip to try to implement. Each tip is meant to help you save a little here and there. Try them and find the ones you can commit to and do them daily. Not all 31 tips will resonate with you – and that’s okay! Find the five or so that you like and master them. Little changes over time will have a big impact. To help you keep track of how much you’ve saved, use the downloadable tracker (available to those that register). By the end of the 31 days, you’ll see how much you’ve saved in total, find out which tips work best for you, and gain a new perspective on money!
FAQs
What if I don't save the full $1,000? That's okay! Even if you save $500, that's still an amazing feat! Reach for the moon and see where that gets you. Remember, it's not about being perfect; it's about being consistent.
I saw this after the challenge started. Can I still join? ABSOLUTELY! Come join in on the fun and get as much out of it as possible.
I have questions about some of the challenge tips. Is there someone I can reach out to? Yes! At any point during the challenge if you have questions, you can email Mills at mills@millsb.com, or schedule a free 15-minute chat here.
WELLNESS JOURNEY
Date Yourself
May 4th to June 4th
Intuitive Coach, Tanai Milgram, will be leading us on a 4-week journey where we will learn to prioritize ourselves and fill our cups by taking ourselves on 1 date a week. Each week the dates will be totally different and according to the instructions given that week in the Women for Success Virtual Conference 2021 Facebook Group
Learn how to:
Fill your own cup.
Feel genuinely comfortable in your own company.
Get outside of your comfort zone.
Get clear and connected to your needs and desires and learn how to prioritize them.
WRITING CHALLENGE
WRITING JUBILEE
May 4th to June 4th
This is a 31-day challenge to help you explore your creativity and get words on the page, whether you’re a poet, memoirist, journaler...or a total creative writing novice!
Why You Should Participate
If you’ve been struggling with writer’s block, want to experiment with new forms of writing, tap into your flow state, and meet other like-minded individuals, then this challenge is for you!
How the Challenge Works
Every week via email you’ll receive two new “De Greff Doors” (aka writing prompts) to help you put words on the page. Each Door is meant to inspire writing, introduce new craft techniques, and help you release old habits and negative thinking that often stands in the way of our most creative selves.
By the end of the 31 days, you’ll have at least eight new pieces of writing (I may throw in a bonus Door here and there!) which you can then revise for publication or perhaps a book-length project. Of course, if the writing stays in your journal, that’s perfectly fine, too. Writing is at its core a spiritual practice and sometimes it’s only meant only for you.
FAQs
1. What if I don't complete all the Doors? It’s all good! This is about celebrating the writing process and your creativity, not punishment or guilt!
2. I saw this after the challenge started. Can I still join? OF COURSE! Come join in on the fun and get as much out of it as possible.
3. I’d love some feedback on my writing/want to take a class with you/have a one-on-one. Is there someone I can reach out to? Yes! At any point during the challenge or after if you have questions, you can email danarevadegreff@gmail.com, or schedule a free 15-minute chat here.

Beating Imposter Syndrome for Creative Liberation
Dana De Greff
There is nothing more difficult (okay, maybe there are a few things), but also nothing more exhilarating than writing. However, one of the biggest hindrances from finishing the goal of writing a book, article, blog post, poem, anything, really, is the writer themselves. We tend to give into our anxieties, fears, and (false) beliefs that what we’re writing is just not 'good enough' or that we are not 'talented enough,' or 'qualified enough' to write. But the thing is, it’s simply not true. This talk will help you name your fears and anxieties when it comes to writing, face them head on, and use them for creative liberation.

Motherhood and Employment: The Financial and Emotional Impact of a Pandemic - Moderated by Denise Castro
Denise Castro
The pandemic has affected many households financially and emotionally. Preliminary studies are showing that the brunt of the financial impact is being felt by mothers. The percentage of employed mothers has decreased by more than five percent in the last year, with many of them stating lack of childcare as their primary reason for being unemployed. Some speculate that this could set women in the workforce back by an entire generation. The emotional impact on mothers has been great as well, as many mothers have had to add the responsibility of childcare to their everyday routines in addition to work leaving them little time for self-care. In addition, recent statistics have shown that 42% of women have not returned to the workforce since the pandemic due to the unequal wage gap of earning 82 cents for every $1 earned by men of all races. This calculation is the ratio of median annual earnings for women working full time, year-round to those of their male counterparts, and it translates to a gender wage gap of 18 cents. When talking about the wage gap for women, it is important to highlight that there are significant differences by race and ethnicity. The wage gap is larger for most women of color. Join a panel of mothers for a discussion on the financial and emotional impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on motherhood.

How Divorce Affects Your Finances - Moderated by Moira Ozuna
Moira Ozuna
Generally, women suffer more financially than do men from divorce. The financial burden is greatest during the first year after divorce and varies depending on: (1) how much money the woman contributed to the family income before divorce, and (2) the ability and willingness of her former husband to make child support payments.
About one in five women fall into poverty as a result of divorce. (The 2014 poverty line for a family of three is less than $20,000 a year (click here).
About one in four women lose their health insurance for a period of time after divorce.
About one in three women who own a home and have children at home when they divorce lose their homes.
Three out of four divorced mothers with child-support orders don’t receive their full payment.
Women often need the help of public assistance programs to supplement their family finances, which often still fail to cover all financial necessities after divorce.
Financial Advisor, Moira Ozuna will be talking to lawyers and specialists in the field about how divorce affects your finances and what you can do to prepare before and after.

The Beauty Premium: Feeling Confident in Your Own Skin
Gelsandra Guzman & Erika Rodriguez
We live in 21st century Miami, a tropical city that’s constantly being ranked by the media as being home to the ‘sexiest’, ‘most attractive’, ‘best-looking’ people in the world. With the rise of influencers, personal brands and social media, our cities’ residents can amplify their message (and gorgeous faces) across the globe. With so many beauties appearing to live a life of taking snaps in our beaches and best restaurants, how does a hustling boss babe keep up?
Hustling boss babes read studies from their desks, as they daytrade and sip on their macchiatos, and know that science has shown that attractiveness predicts salary as it leads to more opportunities for career exposure and visibility; this phenomenon has been dubbed the "beauty premium."
However, hustling boss babes also know that being attractive does not solely rely on one's outward appearance-- it’s always about SELF-CONFIDENCE, baby! Beauty brings confidence, and confidence attracts positivity. When you have a great hair day and flaunt that perfect outfit, nothing can stop you!
Fashion Creator, Gelsandra Guzman, along with Professional Beauty Listener + Hair Stylist, Erika Rodriguez, will be digging deep past the superficial and getting to the heart of what truly matters: investing in yourself to look great so you can always be FEELING GREAT!
